قطعنامه ۶۷۱ شورای امنیت سازمان ملل متحد

شورای امنیت،
با یادآوری قطعنامه‌های ۵۹۸ (۱۹۸۷) ۲۰ ژوئیه ۱۹۸۷، ۶۱۹ (۱۹۸۸) ۹ اوت ۱۹۸۸، ۶۳۱ (۱۹۸۹) ۸ فوریه ۱۹۸۹، ۶۴۲ (۱۹۸۹) ۲۹ سپتامبر ۱۹۸۹ و ۶۵۱ (۱۹۹۰) ۲۹ مارس ۱۹۹۰،
با توجه به گزارش ۲۱ سپتامبر ۱۹۹۰ دبیرکل درباره گروه ناظر نظامی سازمان ملل متحد بر ایران و عراق، و با توجه به مشاهدات بیان شده در آن،

۱. تصمیم به تمدید مأموریت گروه ناظر نظامی سازمان ملل متحد بر ایران و عراق برای یک دوره بعدی دو ماهه، یعنی تا ۳۰ نوامبر ۱۹۹۰، طبق توصیه دبیر کل سازمان ملل متحد می‌گیرد.

۲. از دبیر کل درخواست می‌کند که در طول نوامبر، گزارشی در مورد رایزنی‌های بیشتر او با طرفها درباره آینده گروه ناظر نظامی، همراه با توصیه‌های خود در این زمینه تقدیم کند.

The Security Council,
Recalling its resolutions 598 ( 1987) of 20 July 1987, 619
( ۱۹۸۸) of 9 August 1988, 631 ( 1989) of 8 February 1989,
642 (۱۹۸۹) of 29 September 1989 and 651 (1990) of 29
March 1990,
Having considered the report of the Secretary-General
on the United Nations Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group
of 21 September 1990, and taking note of the observations expressed therein,
1. Decides to extend the mandate of the United Nations
Iran-Iraq Military Observer Group for a further period of
two months, that is, until 30 November 1990, as recommended by the Secretary-General;
2. Requests the Secretary-General to submit, during
November, a report on his further consultations with the
parties about the future of the Military Observer Group,
together with his recommendations on this matter.
