دستور اجرایی ۱۲۱۷۲—اتباع ایرانی

تفویض اختیار مربوط به ورود برخی از اتباع خارجی به ایالات متحده
با اختیاری که به‌عنوان رئیس‌جمهور به من از طرف قانون اساسی و قوانین ایالات متحده داده شده است، از جمله قانون مهاجرت و تابعیت، به‌روزرسانی شده، ۸ USC 1185 و ۳ USC 301، بدین‌وسیله دستور داده می‌شود که:
بخش ۱-۱۰۱. تفویض اختیار.
وزیر امور خارجه و دادستان کل ایالات متحده به‌طور رسمی به‌عنوان مقامات مسئول برای اعمال اختیارات اعطا شده به رئیس‌جمهور تحت بخش ۲۱۵(a)(1) قانون ۲۷ ژوئن ۱۹۵۲ (۸ USC 1185) در خصوص ایرانیانی که ویزای غیرمهاجرتی دارند، تعیین می‌شوند تا محدودیت‌ها و استثناهایی را در قوانین و مقررات مربوط به ورود اتباع خارجی به ایالات متحده اعمال کنند.
بخش ۱-۱۰۲. تاریخ اجرایی.
این دستور بلافاصله اجرایی می‌شود.

Executive Order 12172—Iranian Aliens
DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY WITH RESPECT TO ENTRY OF CERTAIN ALIENS INTO THE UNITED STATES
By virtue of the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and laws of the United States, including the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended, 8 USC 1185 and 3 USC 301, it is hereby ordered as follows:
SECTION 1-101. Delegation of Authority. The Secretary of State and the Attorney General are hereby designated and empowered to exercise in respect of Iranians holding nonimmigrant visas, the authority conferred upon the President by section 215(a) (1) of the Act of June 27, 1952 (8 USC 1185), to prescribe limitations and exceptions on the rules and regulations governing the entry of aliens into the United States.
SEC. 1—۱۰۲. Effective Date. This order is effective immediately.
